Como
Dal 6 al 29 ottobre lo Spazio Natta ospita la mostra di Daniela Antoniali (San Vito al Tagliamento 1960) e Berkeley Rodmell (Roma 1976), organizzata in collaborazione con l’Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Como. I due artisti espongono una serie di quadri figurativi. Di carattere lirico quelli di Daniela Antoniali, 10 acrilici che vanno dal 1990 al 2017; mentre sono di indirizzo espressionista le 7 pitture di Berkeley Rodmell, smalti su cartone o su tavola del 2015-16.
Daniela Antoniali viene da un lungo percorso di studi tra i quali all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia con Emilio Vedova, e poi in corsi di specializzazione a Como alla Fondazione Ratti con Georg Baselitz, Arnulf Rainer e Francesco Somaini. Ha un’intensa attività professionale ed espositiva. Nel suo percorso è da segnalare che è stata Assessore alla Cultura del Comune di Laglio.
Berkeley Rodmell, nome d’arte di Fabrizio Nanni, proviene da una svariata attività nel mondo dell’arte. La sua formazione nel campo delle arti figurative avviene a Roma con Samuel Montealegre. Compie inoltre studi di teatro all’Accademia Nazionale D’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico di Roma partecipando a spettacoli del Living Theatre e di Pina Bausch.
Durante l’inaugurazione della mostra il 6 ottobre alle ore 18.30 si terrà un breve evento con la lettura di poesie inedite da parte degli stessi autori, Alessandra Corbetta, Laura Garavaglia e Andrea Tavernati della Casa della Poesia di Como.
La mostra è a ingresso libero e avrà i seguenti orari: mercoledì, giovedì e venerdì 14.00-22.00; sabato e domenica 10.00–19.00; lunedì e martedì chiuso.
Contributo critico di Walter Budali
Le opere di Daniela Antoniali dimostrano una trasformazione nel tempo con esiti sempre più distillati, purificati nel segno e nel colore, testimonianze necessarie, palpitazioni, sussurri, accenni, con la forza dell'emozione indelebile. Il suo approdare all'acquerello si rivela esigenza tecnica necessaria, tramite all'espressione del confronto del suo umano con il mondo; le opere di Berkeley Rodmell sono simulacri della fisicità, preghiere che si fanno totem del nostro essere corpo, corpi nel trascorrere del tempo dello spazio, cantore trasognato ma implacabile, tenero ma lucido come ogni vero poeta.

From 6 to 29 October 2017 the Spazio Natta hosts the exhibition featuring Daniela Antoniali (San Vito al Tagliamento 1960) and Berkeley Rodmell (Rome 1976) organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the municipality of Como. The two artists present figurative paintings. 10 acrylics by Daniela Antoniali, poetic oils on paper glued on canvas, dating from 1990 to 2017 and 7 expressionist paintings by Berkeley Rodmell, enamels on cardboard or on board from 2015-16.
Daniela Antoniali had a long educational background, studying in Venice with Emilio Vedova at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice and in Como with Georg Baselitz, Arnulf Rainer and Francesco Somaini at the Fondazione Ratti. Daniela had been exhibiting in various venues and was appointed Councillor of Culture in the municipality of Laglio (Como).
Berkeley Rodmell, nom de plume of Fabrizio Nanni, had a various background in the art world. In Rome Berkeley studied visual arts with Samuel Montealegre and also theatre at the Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts working with the Living Theatre and Pina Bausch.
During the vernissage, on the 6th October at 6.30 pm, the poets Alessandra Corbetta, Laura Garavaglia and Andrea Tavernati from the Casa della Poesia of Como will read their unpublished poems. The exhibition is free with admission and open on wednesday, thursday and friday 2.00-10.00 pm; on saturday and sunday 10.00 am-7.00 pm; mondays and tuesdays closed.
A critical contribution by Walter Budali
The works of Daniela Antoniali show a transformation in the time through results more distillates, purified in the sign and in the color, necessary evidences, palpitations, whispers, hints, with the power of an indelible emotion. Her landing at the watercolor reveal an indispensable technical need, expression of the comparison through her human with the world. The works of Berkeley Rodmell are simulacrum of the physicality, prayers, they make it totem our body essence, bodies in the spend of the time and the space, Rodmell dreamer cantor but implacable, tender but shining as every true poet.
